Fried Bananas

I used to get a version of these at the Thai place across the street from my dorm in Times Square. Super easy. Very yummy!

Ingredients

2 ripe bananas

8 wonton wrappers

2 T roasted sesame seeds

2 T honey

Canola oil for frying

PREPARATION

Peel and mash bananas in a bowl. One at a time, place 2 T mashed banana along one of the short ends of the wrapper, leaving 1/2 inch border. Roll up the wonton like an egg roll or burrito. Moisten the edge and seal the wrapper. Repeat with the remaining wontons and bananas.

Bring the canola oil to 350 degrees in a high sided pan. Make sure there is enough oil to cover the rolls. Place the rolls in the oil. Work in batches if needed. Turn the rolls half way through cooking. Fry until golden on both sides.

Drain on paper towels.

Plate and drizzle with honey. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve hot.
