There are a thousand recipes for guacamole. Here is mine!
6 ripe avocados (I generally use Haas)
4 T diced red onion
1 bun cilantro
1/2 T cumin
2-3 t salt
1-2 t Red pepper flakes
Halve the avocados. Remove the pits and scoop the flesh into a large bowl. Add the diced red onions. Juice the limes into the bowl. Dice about 1/2 the bun of cilantro to start. Add cilantro and spices to bowl. Use a potato masher to mash the avocados until smooth. Mix well with a spoon. Adjust the spices and salt to taste.
If you need to store the guacamole, sprinkle lime juice on the top and cover tightly with cling wrap.
